Matt Stinchcomb joins the Loud Security Systems Newsmaker line to discuss Georgia football’s complete but imperfect 2026 season after the Auburn loss, Aaron Philo’s likely start and Tramiel Jones’ potential role, the narrow SEC playoff path against dangerous foes like Florida, and give praise to legendary Bulldogs talents like Robert Edwards, Hines Ward and Champ Bailey.
You know, I do wonder, Summerall was talking about it earlier this week and acknowledging the offense doesn’t change that much, quarterback to quarterback, and obviously one quarterback might do some of the things that they already asked the other quarterback to do a little bit better than maybe the other guy does and vice versa. But it’s not like, oh man, this guy’s a runner, oh, this guy’s a thrower. So it makes great sense that you put Philo in there.
I think obviously he’s got more starting experience. That’s big. He does have some level of familiarity playing this football team. And you know, it’s, if you go with Philo and then Tramiel Jones plays some or even comes in, I think that’s an easier progression than the other way around. – Matt Stinchcomb
