On Southern Company’s Business of Sports, Dan Corso joins Cellini & Dimino to discuss the overwhelming success of the World Cup as well as Atlanta’s ability to host premiere international sporting events.
I have to tell you, the energy over the last 30 days has been incredible with the variety of teams and visitors that we’ve seen, all the residents from the city and the region and the state coming down to be a part of World Cup and our Fan Fest or some of the activities all over the region.
But the feel with what’s coming tomorrow with Argentina and England and just the incredible matchup is unlike anything we’ve ever seen here. And the estimation is that there could be anywhere from 5 to 600 million people around the world watching this match tomorrow.
