Dr. Cory Shaffer, Mental Performance Coach, works with Spencer Strider & JR Ritchie, among many others, and today Nick and Chris talk find out more from the good doctor about how he helps athletes off the field.
I think it’s probably a situation by situation thing. Um I tend to be pretty dialed into what my guys have going on. Um and so I’m likely going to be one to just reach out.
Um. And just kind of check in on, you know how the outing winner how the most recent game winner whatever it was. Uh and I’ll let them be the one to bring that type of a thing up.
Um, you know, and if they want to share it, they can and we’ll go from there. I’m always going to offer to, you know, jump on a call or, um, you know, as soon as they’d like to. Uh but they also need time to process things.
And in some of those cases, man, I mean, it’s a quick turnaround to jump on a plane and you know, get to the next spot. So I want them to know that I’m there if they want to just talk through it, but I also prefer in a lot of cases, I’m gonna let them come to me.
