Georgia Tech AD Ryan Alpert joined The Locker Room and talked about his thoughts on the “Protect College Sports Act”, the 1-3 start to the season for Brent Key’s squad, the effect traveling has on teams, and a big day coming up on The Flats against Duke this Saturday!
But no, we’ve got an incredible Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. I think, you know, when we talk about what makes college sports special is being able to honor our past and modernize for the future.
And this is a tremendous class coming back. We’ll do an induction for them on Friday night and then the recognition on Saturday. And then as you mentioned, you know, the 1930 model, you know, Ford Model A sports coupe is so synonymous with Georgia Tech and who we are is the 65th anniversary of the Ramblin’ Wreck, which first appearance came in 1961.
So we’ve got ticket offers at $19.61, you know, as a tribute and day, you know, of the debut for upper level tickets. We’ve got premium seats discounted and I have the opportunity to come in our new rec deck and enjoy the experience there. We’ll have 25,000 flag giveaways with that, to hell with Georgia and give them hell, the flags that fly on the front of the rec or that are right on the front antennas. – Ryan Alpert
