ESPN senior national NFL writer Jeremy Fowler was in Flowery Branch for Atlanta Falcons Training Camp over the weekend, and today, joins “The Locker Room” to recap what he saw, the latest news about Bijan Robinson’s hold-in, Falcons QB competition, and more!
I would say this, with Tua, his strengths are decision-making accuracy, timing, all those things, right? But he’s not the kind of gifted athlete that some other quarterbacks are, so because of that, you do have a thinner margin for error as far as if anything does slip physically or, you know, your receivers are injured, whatever it is. I just think that came to a head a little bit. You know, talking to some people in Miami, they thought he had maybe slipped in his regimen a little bit over the years, maybe, you know, after getting the contract.
Whether that’s fair or not, you know, but that was at least a view of some there. But I’m talking to people in Atlanta that have been very pleased with where he’s at physically. Mentally, he’s come in crisp and ready to go, so I think the signs in Atlanta are good.
