Bobby Cox, the legendary Hall of Fame manager and architect of the Atlanta Braves dynasty, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 84. The Braves called him their “treasured skipper” and “the best manager to ever wear a Braves uniform.”
Cox managed the Braves in two stints (1978–81 and 1990–2010), won 2,504 games, led 14 consecutive division titles (1991–2005), five NL pennants, and the 1995 World Series championship. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
