Following a heated brawl, Chris Dimino believes Atlanta should lean into a tougher identity, even if it means playing a little “dirty.” Not reckless or cheap, but intentional. Protect the plate. Pitch inside. Make opponents uncomfortable.

It’s a mentality shift that could pay off over a long season.

Dimino pointed to that game as a turning point, with the coaching staff managing it like a Game 7. Every decision was aggressive. Every move sent a message: the Braves weren’t losing that night.

Moments like that can define a team. While one fight won’t carry over game-to-game, it can help establish a culture — one where opponents know they’re in for a battle.

The Braves have talent. That’s never been the question. But if they combine that with a little attitude, they might become something even more dangerous — a team nobody wants to face.
