Six 60-plus yarders made in the first seven weeks of the NFL season. It’s unprecedented how many of these really long kicks are being made. And so part of it, I think, is just the nature of the position. Teams, year after year, have higher and higher expectations for performance for kickers, and kickers are getting better and better at the high school level and at the college level, and then it translates into the pros. And so you just have this incremental increase in the quality of kickers across the league and the standard just continues to get raised and new guys continue to rise up to the challenge.
