Eric Mac Lain, CFB Analyst on ACC Network, joined The Locker Room and talked about why he loves Georgia Tech Head Coach Brent Key, what he sees in QB Haynes King, and the need to get the running game going.
PLUS: His thoughts on Bill Belichick at UNC, the Miami Hurricanes being one of, if not the best, team in the country, which ACC team has the best chance to turn their season around and more!
When Haynes King gets up and he starts limping, he’s going Super Saiyan mode. That’s when he’s going crazy. So you better watch out if you see that during a game. But he brings all the intangibles, toughness, grit, knows what to do with the football, how complex, you know, Buster Faulkner’s offense is from emotions, pre-snap, read, and then even post-snap with the options that he has. I mean, it still is the triple option. It’s just faster and spread out, right? Like they’re throwing the ball. They have the option to give it quarterback run and then an RPO packed in. So it’s so fun to watch it, man. And he operates it flawlessly.
