Alex Anthopoulos addresses the Media for his Annual End-of-Season Press Conference, Answers Questions on Snit’s Replacement
I know this is not the answer you guys want to hear, but I know it’s not because I want this or whatever. I know it makes it tough on you guys, but if we do our job the way I want us to do it, you guys won’t have anything. And I don’t mean that in a derogatory way or disrespectful way. I just, before Skip Schumacher was named last night, there were eight openings. Eight. I remember some other years where there were a bunch of manager openings. I don’t remember that there were this many. I’d have to go back, but that’s a lot of openings. That’s a lot of turnover in a lot of places. That’s a lot of permission on other coaches. And that makes it incredibly challenging, and knowing that it’s going to be irrelevant, it’s going to be a very relevant point for us.
