I think that the reason why he opted into his contract is because when he tried to play ball with Mark Walter and say, “I’m opting out and I’m signing another 4 year deal or three-year deal or whatever.”
They were like, “For Max dollars? How about no? You can either opt in or you can opt out, and then we’ll move on with our lives.”
And I think it was the first time that LeBron Raymond James has been hit with any sort of, you know, ultimatum.
