It was a wacky opening day. The Yankees started a catcher in the leadoff spot yesterday for the first time in their history, Austin Wells, and he hit a home run to lead off opening day, which no catcher has ever done in the history of Baseball. And then he also was the first Yankee at any position ever to hit a leadoff home run on opening day, and the Yankees have quite a rich tradition as we know!
