The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Kentucky Wildcats came to Athens full of confidence and got their butts kicked. They probably left the Classic City wondering if they would ever be the same.
Right now, the Bulldogs are playing a dominating form of football. The ‘Dogs Front Seven on defense is Hunkerin’ Down! Georgia’s Run Game is so formidable defenses are aggressively loading up the box with 7-8 defenders, which leaves them exposed on the back end and susceptible to big plays in the passing game.
Mix in The Bulldog Nation impacting the game with high-intensity level support from the stands and what these opponents are getting is not really a fair fight.
With the bye week this week, the Bulldogs now have an opportunity to rest and heal up before they knock heads with the Mighty Gators in Jacksonville.
Kirby’s Big QB Reveal will be in J-ville. Does Stetson keep the job? Does J.T. Daniels take over? This is going to be fascinating and we probably won’t know what the decision is until the Georgia offense takes the field that day.
Bennett has done some solid work. His mobility is impactful and his ability to make the Zone Read play complete (by running with it) comes in handy. Obviously, the team believes in him.
Daniels strength is his ability to unlock the passing attack, by reading coverage and dropping dimes short, intermediate and deep. Surely his lat will have healed by the time the ‘Dogs show up in Jacksonville.
Stay tuned. This decision will be huge.
As I see it, the Georgia team has 8 games remaining in this season. Five games to end the regular season, then expect to get Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. After the Tide Showdown, there is the National Semi-Final game in the playoffs and then, the Natty.
Might have to beat Alabama twice.
Might need two quarterbacks to run the table.
