Swim Across America Atlanta Open Water Swim benefitting CHOA

Please join Swim Across America as they "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" in the 2nd Annual Atlanta Open Water Swim on Sunday, May 4 at Lake Spivey. With the help of many sponsors, volunteers, teams, Olympians, and participants, Swim Across America Atlanta exceeded their Inaugural 2013 goal of raising more than $250,000 for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The Aflac Cancer Center cares for more than 6,500 children each year with cancer and blood disorders. This includes diagnosing a different child almost every day with cancer. Swim Across America-Atlanta swims to defeat these statistics by providing critical funding for pediatric cancer research.

The 2014 Open Water Swim will feature several course options including a 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 5K and 10K. Swimmers of all skill levels are welcome, and participants may swim as an individual or as a team. The event will be alive with entertainment, music, awards, patient stories, and family friendly activities.
